Sell Your Pre-Sale Tokens Without a Centralized Platform
Why Sell on Presello?
If you hold pre-sale tokens and want to sell before the project lists on a major platform, your options have historically been limited. You could try to find a buyer through social media or group chats, but this involves trust risk, no escrow protection, and no way to verify the other party. You could wait for the project to list, but that timeline is often uncertain and subject to delays.
Presello offers a structured alternative. You deposit your tokens into a smart contract vault, choose the discount at which you are willing to sell, and wait for a buyer to purchase through the FIFO queue. When a buyer pays, you receive USDT minus the platform fee. The entire process is automated, secured by smart contracts, and transparent.
The platform handles the complexity: escrow, buyer acquisition, payment processing, compliance screening, and transaction settlement. You just deposit, set your price, and wait.
The Selling Process Step by Step
Selling on Presello involves nine steps, each designed to be straightforward:
Step 1: Sign in with Google, then connect your wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, or other providers).
Step 2: Search for your project on Presello. If it is not yet listed, you will need to wait for the project issuer to register it, or you can suggest the project through the platform.
Step 3: Choose your discount tier. This is the most important decision you will make. Tiers range from 5% off (you keep 95% of the reference price) to 95% off (you keep only 5%). Each tier shows the current queue depth so you can see how many sellers are ahead of you.
Step 4: Enter the quantity of tokens you want to list. You can list any amount, subject to minimum listing requirements.
Step 5: Pay the $1 listing fee via Guardarian. This nominal fee helps prevent spam listings and is non-refundable.
Step 6: Review the FIFO queue preview showing your estimated position.
Step 7: Approve the token transfer and deposit into the vault smart contract.
Step 8: Confirm your listing. Your tokens are now in the vault and your listing is live.
Step 9: Wait for a buyer. You will receive email and dashboard notifications as your listing is filled.
Choosing the Right Discount Tier
The discount tier you choose represents a fundamental decision: how quickly do you want to sell versus how much value do you want to retain?
Lower discount tiers (5-15% off) mean you keep more of the reference price, but you will likely wait longer because these tiers tend to have longer queues. More sellers are willing to accept small discounts, so the competition is higher.
Higher discount tiers (30-60% off) mean faster fills because fewer sellers are willing to accept these deeper discounts, and buyers are more attracted to larger savings. However, you receive significantly less per token.
Very deep discount tiers (70-95% off) are unusual but serve specific use cases. A seller who needs immediate liquidity or who has lost confidence in a project may choose a deep discount to exit quickly.
Presello provides AI-powered tier recommendations based on current queue depths, historical fill rates, and buyer demand. These recommendations are suggestions only and are not financial advice.
Getting Paid
When a buyer purchases your listed tokens, payment is processed automatically. Here is what happens:
The buyer's payment is received and confirmed (either via card through Guardarian or via direct USDT transfer). The FIFO queue advances to your listing. Your tokens are transferred to the buyer's vault balance. Your USDT proceeds are credited to your Presello balance, minus the platform fee.
The platform fee is currently 5% of the sale amount and is clearly shown before you confirm your listing. This fee is configurable by the admin between 0% and 25%.
Once your USDT balance is credited, you can withdraw it to any wallet address at any time. Withdrawal processing includes gas fees which are shown before you confirm the withdrawal.
Partial fills are handled automatically. If you listed 10,000 tokens and a buyer purchases 3,000, you receive payment for the 3,000 sold and the remaining 7,000 stay in the queue at the same position.
Cancellation and Safety
You can cancel your listing and withdraw your tokens from the vault at any time, provided those tokens have not already been purchased. Cancellation is immediate and free (you only pay gas fees for the vault withdrawal).
Your tokens are protected by the Presello vault smart contract, which has been audited for security. The vault holds tokens in escrow and can only release them through authorized operations: either to a buyer upon purchase confirmation, or back to the seller upon cancellation.
The platform also screens all wallets against the OFAC sanctions list. If your wallet is flagged, you will not be able to list tokens. This is a compliance requirement that protects all participants on the platform.
Remember that Presello is a marketplace facilitating peer-to-peer resale of digital credits. The platform does not set prices, provide financial advice, or guarantee that your listing will be filled. All decisions about which tokens to sell and at what discount are entirely yours.
