Pre-sale token terms explained in plain English. No jargon, no assumptions — just clear definitions of every concept you will encounter on Presello.
A
AI Screening
- Automated analysis of token contracts using Token Sniffer, GoPlus security APIs, and on-chain sentiment signals to assess a project’s risk level before it is listed on Presello. The pipeline evaluates contract ownership, honeypot patterns, liquidity lock status, and community sentiment. Results are expressed as a Risk Rating shown on every project page.
Audited Vault
- A smart contract that holds deposited tokens in escrow, independently reviewed by a third-party security firm before deployment. The audit verifies that the contract code matches its stated behavior and contains no exploitable vulnerabilities. Presello’s vault has been submitted to SolidProof for independent security verification.

BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
- The blockchain network where Presello’s vault smart contract is deployed. BSC is a Proof-of-Staked-Authority chain operated by BNB Chain that offers fast block times and low transaction costs. Sellers deposit tokens into the Presello vault contract on BSC, and buyers receive tokens from it on the same network.

Cliff Period
- The initial waiting period before any vested tokens begin unlocking for a holder. A 6-month cliff means a holder receives zero tokens during the first six months, after which vesting begins on a schedule. Cliff periods are a common design in pre-sale token structures to align holder incentives with project development milestones.
Consignment Marketplace
- A platform where sellers deposit items and the platform facilitates sales on their behalf, similar to a physical consignment shop. The seller retains ownership of the tokens while they are held in escrow, and only transfers that ownership to a buyer when a sale is completed. Presello operates as a consignment marketplace, not an exchange.

Discount Tier
- The percentage below the reference price at which a seller lists their tokens for sale on Presello. Tiers range from 5% to 95% in 5-percentage-point increments, and the minimum discount is always 5% — listings at or above the reference price are not permitted. The discount percentage is the most prominent number on every listing card because it is the core value proposition for buyers.

Early Access
- Presello’s launch period during which all platform fees are set to zero. This includes listing fees for sellers, transaction fees on completed sales, and project registration fees for issuers. Early access fees will be introduced at a later date, with advance notice given to all users before they take effect.
Escrow
- The practice of holding assets in a secure, neutral account until the conditions of a transaction are met. On Presello, tokens deposited by sellers are held in escrow inside the audited vault smart contract until a buyer completes a purchase, at which point the contract automatically releases them. Neither Presello nor any individual controls the escrowed tokens during this period.

FIFO Queue
- First In, First Out — the ordering system Presello uses to fill buyer purchases within each discount tier. When a buyer purchases tokens at a given discount percentage, the system fills from the oldest active listing at that tier first before moving to newer listings. This ensures fairness: sellers who list earlier are not disadvantaged by sellers who list later at the same price.

Gas Fee
- The transaction cost paid to blockchain network validators for processing on-chain operations such as token deposits, transfers, and withdrawals. Gas fees are set by network conditions and are paid in the native currency of the blockchain (BNB on BNB Smart Chain). Gas fees are separate from Presello’s platform fees and are not collected by Presello.

KYC (Know Your Customer)
- Identity verification required at certain transaction thresholds to comply with anti-money-laundering and financial regulations. On Presello, buyers who reach $1,000 in cumulative purchases are prompted to complete KYC through Sumsub, a regulated identity verification provider. Higher thresholds trigger enhanced due diligence. KYC helps protect the platform and its users from financial crime.

Liquidity
- The ability to convert an asset into cash or another asset quickly and at a predictable price. Pre-sale tokens are typically illiquid before a project’s exchange listing because there is no public market for them. Presello provides a secondary liquidity option by connecting holders who want to exit early with buyers who want to enter at a discount before the public listing.
Listing Fee
- A small flat fee charged when a seller creates a new token listing on Presello. The listing fee is currently $0 during early access. After early access ends, a $1 listing fee will apply per new listing. The fee is separate from the transaction fee that is charged only when a sale is completed.

OFAC Screening
- The process of checking wallet addresses against the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions list. OFAC maintains a list of individuals, entities, and countries subject to U.S. economic sanctions. Presello screens all connecting wallets against this list and blocks sanctioned addresses from participating as buyers or sellers to comply with U.S. sanctions law.

Pre-Sale Token
- A digital token distributed by a blockchain project before its public listing on a cryptocurrency exchange, usually at a discounted price in exchange for early financial support. Pre-sale tokens often come with vesting schedules or cliff periods that restrict when they can be transferred. Presello is specifically designed as a secondary marketplace for this category of asset.
R
Reference Price
- The current market price of a token, used as the baseline from which discount percentages are calculated on Presello. The reference price is sourced automatically from on-chain data and public market feeds, and the source is always displayed alongside the price so buyers can verify it independently. Every listing on Presello must be priced strictly below the reference price.
Risk Rating
- A color-coded assessment of a project’s safety level, assigned by Presello’s AI screening pipeline and shown on every project page. The four ratings are: Low Risk (green) — screened and no significant concerns found; Caution (yellow) — some signals warrant attention; High Risk (red) — material concerns identified; Critical (black) — severe risk indicators, listing may be suspended. Ratings are updated weekly by automated audit.

Section 230
- A provision of U.S. federal law (47 U.S.C. § 230) that protects online platform operators from civil liability for content published by third-party users. Section 230 is part of the legal framework that allows Presello to operate as a neutral marketplace for user-generated listings without being treated as the publisher or speaker of those listings. Presello’s compliance architecture is designed to maintain this protection.
Seller Dashboard
- The interface where sellers manage their activity on Presello after connecting their wallet. It shows all active and past listings, the fill status of each listing in the FIFO queue, total earnings in USDT, and provides controls to create new listings, adjust existing ones, or initiate a USDT withdrawal to an external wallet.
Smart Contract
- Self-executing code deployed on a blockchain that automatically enforces the terms of an agreement without requiring a trusted intermediary. Presello’s vault is a smart contract: when a buyer’s payment is confirmed, the contract automatically releases the correct quantity of tokens to the buyer’s wallet and credits the seller’s USDT balance. The contract rules cannot be changed by Presello after deployment.

Token Vesting
- A schedule that releases tokens to holders gradually over time rather than delivering the full allocation at once. Vesting is used by blockchain projects to align the incentives of early supporters with the project’s long-term success. Sellers on Presello may be listing tokens that are still partially vesting, and buyers should review a project’s vesting schedule before purchasing.
Transaction Fee
- A percentage of each completed sale charged by Presello as platform revenue. The transaction fee is 0% during early access. After early access, the standard rate is 5% of the sale value, deducted from the seller’s proceeds. Presello’s admin-configurable fee range is 0% to 25%, allowing the platform to adjust fees as market conditions change.
U
USDT (Tether)
- A stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar and issued by Tether Limited, used as the payment method on Presello. USDT maintains a 1:1 value with the U.S. dollar, which means buyers know exactly how much they are paying in dollar terms and sellers know exactly how much they will receive. Presello uses USDT on the BNB Smart Chain network (BEP-20 standard).

Vault
- Presello’s smart contract where sellers deposit tokens for escrow until they are purchased by a buyer. The vault holds tokens securely between deposit and sale, ensuring that sellers cannot withdraw tokens once a buyer has initiated a purchase and that buyers receive exactly the quantity they paid for. The vault contract is open-source and independently audited.
W
Wallet
- A digital application that stores cryptographic keys and allows users to interact with blockchain platforms and manage their tokens. On Presello, sellers connect a Web3 wallet (such as MetaMask) to deposit tokens and receive USDT payments. Buyers connect a wallet to receive tokens after purchase. Presello supports wallet connection via Web3Auth and standard browser extension wallets.
Withdrawal
- The process of moving tokens or USDT out of Presello to your personal wallet. Sellers withdraw earned USDT from their seller dashboard after a sale completes. Buyers withdraw purchased tokens from their buyer dashboard after confirming the purchase. Withdrawals are on-chain transactions and incur a small gas fee paid to the BNB Smart Chain network.
